Small Info About Kanha

Kanha National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the biggest park in Madhya Pradesh, In the 1930s, Kanha area was divided into two sanctuaries, Hallon and Banjar, of 250 and 300 km² . Kanha National Park was created on 1 June 1955. Today it stretches over an area of 940 km² in the two districts Mandla and Balaghat. Together with a surrounding buffer zone of 1,067 km² and the neighboring 110 km² Phen Sanctuary it forms the Kanha Tiger Reserve. This makes it the largest National Park in Central India.

The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha provided inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel "Jungle Book ". The park has a significant population of Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, the sloth bear, Barasingha, Swamp deer, Sambhar, Chital, Gaur and Indian wild dog.

How to reach

By road: Kanha from Jabalpur is 155 Km and from Gondia is 187 Km and form Jabalpur/ Gondia to Kanha accessible by buses and Pvt Transport

By rail: The Nearest stations are Jabalpur

Kanha has Four main entry points: Kanha, Kisli, Sarai and Mukki with Kanha zone being the premium zone. Kanha and Kisli zones are more accustomed to Gypsy and human traffic and so much easily sighted.

Day 1	Reach Gondia 11.10 am, Travel to Kanha, on the way to halt have tea & Lunch and check in hotel rest evening Jungle walk (Birding / Nature trails)

Day2	Early Morning Have tea and start 1st Jungle Safari. Back for BF rest. After Lunch start 2nd Jungle Safari. Evening back to resort, Rest, Dinner, Post Dinner Experience Sharing then Rest

Day3	Early Morning Have tea and start 3rd Jungle Safari. Back for BF/Lunch rest. After Lunch start 4th Jungle Safari. Evening back to resort, Rest, Dinner, Post Dinner Experience Sharing then Rest
