Kedarkantha Trek is a classic trek. The trek provides a great opportunity for trekkers to see the scenic beauty and experience the life of remote villages of Garhwal Himalayas. Kedarkantha Trek lies in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park in Uttarkashi
district of Uttarakhand. The drive to Sankri (From where the Kedarkantha trek starts) is one of the most picturesque drives in the Himalayas through Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, Netwar, Motwat along the Tons River Kedarkantha trek is one the easiest treks in the Himalayas to enjoy thick snow cover. The Kedarkantha trek campsite is great for birding and surrounded by beautiful snow peaks.

Itinerary For The Tour

Day 0	Start form Train to Haridwar/Dehradun

Day 1	Reach Haridwar/Dehradun Train/Flight to checkin hotel rest reshup local sight seeing

Day 2	Dehradun – Sankri ( 200 kms / 8 hrs ): Start trave to Sankri . Enroute breakfast and Lunch. Arrive Sankri by late afternoon. We will stay here in Alpine Tents / hotel/ Guest House. An evening orientation work around the village for acclimatisation.

Day 3	Sankri – Juda Ka Talab (4 kms): After having our breakfast and we start the trek around 8 AM for our next camp Juda Ka Talab. We will camp beside the small pond surrounded by Pine and Oak trees. One can have beautiful views of snow clad peaks from Juda Ka Talab . Overnight at camp.

Day 4	Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base (3 kms): Get up early morning to see the golden glow of snow clad peaks. Post breakfast start the trek to Kedarkantha Peak base which takes around 4 hrs to reach Kedarkantha Peak base. Enjoy hot lunch and explore the area.

Day 5	Kedarkantha Base – Kedarkantha Peak – Kedarkantha Base (8 kms): After having early breakfast, we start the day to summit the Kedarkantha peak, have your lunch with amazing views of snow clad peaks of Yamunotri and Gangotri ranges. It’s a long day trek up to summit. After spending some quality time at the peak we trek back to nearby camping site at the Kedarkantha Base.

Day6	Trek down from Kedarkantha Base to Sankri via Hargaon on well-marked trail by stones. Trek down through thick forest of Pine and Maple trees and at some places you will have open views of beautiful Har Ki Dunvalley. Drive back to Dehradun/Haridwar by 6 PM. Start for mumbai Train 6.45 pm /Flight tour After 8 pm any reach mumbai tour ends..

Do's & Don'ts

	Do's

	Carry clothes that will help you camouflage with the surroundings. Always carry original identity proof. Follow strict timings as given by your team leader to avoid delay in any activities and groupevents. Enjoy nature and surrounding area in the jungle while you in trek/expedition with your group. Always keep your phone on silent or airplane mode when entering trek/expedition. Also carry extra batteries, memory cards for camera Option to Carry Sunscreen (fragrance-free). Always remain in group Your guide/mentor/leader know the area inside the routes better than anyone, so do co-operate with them. Always respect your local and their knowledge about the routes during the trek/expedition.

	Don'ts

	Do not litter in forest and surrounding areas. Do not throw anything in the route. Do not wear brightly colored clothes or apply any kind of perfumes or deodorants. Never feed any animals. Do not play any loud music in vicinity of the trek/expedition area. Do not argue with any person like forest guards, guides, locals or even travellers from another group during the trek/expedition.
