Contest Rules and Guidelines
Please read these rules (the Rules) before submitting your photo(s) to Indian Nature and Widlife Photographer Year Book 2019 contest. These are General Rules governing all contests hosted by My Mera India , unless so specified in the Specific Rules that may be applicable to individual contests. By participating in the Contest, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these General Rules and the decisions of Host,Sponsor, Judge which shall be final and binding in all respects.
  1] REGISTRATION, DATES & DEADLINES
 
  • Submissions OPEN : November 10, 2019 END : January 10,2020.
  • The contest closes at 11:59 PM IST on January 10, 2020.
  • Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
  • Submissions can be made only via the contest Mail Filling Registration Form: contest@mymeraindia.com (Download Registration Form )
  • Once form submitted we give you a Unique number that is your photo submission Id for contest
  • Submissions for contest photo only via the contest Mail :contest.mymeraindia@gmail.com
  • Because of the unique nature and scope of the Contest, My Mera India reserves the right, in addition to those other rights reserved herein, to modify any date(s) or deadline(s) set forth in these General Rules or otherwise governing the Contest.

REGISTRATION FEES

  • A non-refundable registration fee of INR 250 is applicable for 10 categories. One can upload upto 20 photographs with not more than 2 photographs in each category.
  • Women Photographers category
  • Young Photographers category, the jury panel may contact the participants for documents to establish proof of age.

  2] WHO MAY ENTER
  • The Contest is open for Indians only
  • There are 10 categories for participants over 17 years , Women participant over 17 years, Young photographer both male and Female below 17 years
  • The organising team, sponsors and partners are not allowed to participate in the contest.
  3] HOW TO ENTER.
  • Each submission must contain not more than 2 photographs in each category of the contest. Total 20 images

  4] SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Photographs that are submitted must have been taken in the last 2 years. The photographs shot only in India.
  • Already winning Photographs with other competition not allowed.
  • All digital photographs must be in JPEG format, RGB mode, with a maximum of 1920 pixels (on the longer side) at 72dpi. The photograph size should not exceed 2MB.
  • All submitted photos must contain the original EXIF metadata information. However there must be no border(s), logo(s), copyright marks, identifying marks, or any other visible references and/or marks on the image.
  • Basic editing, including colour enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping of the Photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the Photo(s).
  • Basic re-touching (brightness, saturation, sharpening, contrast and white balance) of images is acceptable as long as the photograph retains its original form. Any image that appears drastically different from its RAW version will be disqualified.
  • Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions and/or manipulations, and the adding and removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.
  • Entrants should not include their name in the caption or on the image itself.
  • Once shortlisted, participants will be contacted to provide the accompanying RAW file. All information regarding post-processing of the image must be shared on request.
    If the image was not shot in a RAW format, the original, unprocessed JPEG file will need to be shared.
  • Stitching of images is allowed only if the resultant image is a panoramic one.
  • Each photograph will have to be accompanied by a relevant title and description.i.e (Name, Unique Id, Theme, Caption, Photo Number. For Example RAJESH_INWP19001_ Animal Behaviour_ FALL IN LOVE_PNO1)
  • Once shortlisted, participants will be contacted to provide the small discribtion about participant which will be publised in INWP Year Book
  • All participant must like My Mera India page and join My Mera India Tours group page in Facebook for regular update

ETHICAL STANDARDS

  • Entrants must be mindful of the welfare of the animals they are photographing and ensure that no harm, injury or distress is caused to the animal or to the habitat in an attempt to secure the image.
  • Entrants are not permitted to submit images of farm animals, family pets or animal models.
  • Images of nesting birds will not be accepted.
  • Images of captive animals will not be accepted.
  • Images that have been captured using live bait will not be accepted. If any other forms of attraction have been used to secure the photograph, like bird seed, food or scent, details must be declared in the caption.
  • Images where the photographer’s actions or presence have adversely affected the animal’s behaviour or put the animal in danger will not be permitted - for example, aggressive behaviour of species like SnakesAnimal charging. Such images could be disqualified at the jury’s discretion.
  • Entrants must not deceive the viewer or attempt to disguise and/ or misrepresent the reality of the natural scene.
  • Entrants are responsible for ensuring full compliance with any applicable nationallegislation and for securing any relevant permits that may be required in the process of photography.
  • If the organisers suspect that an entry has been achieved through cruel or unethical practices, including the use of live bait, the entry will be disqualified.
  • Caption information supplied during the registration process must be complete, true and accurate.
  • Any breach of the ethical standards listed here will be considered a breach of the rules.
  5] WINNER SELECTION / JUDGING.
  • The Judges’ decision will befinal and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Judges select the winning images using the following criteria:Creativity, Originality, Composition, Technical and Artistic considerations
  • During judging, the jury reserves the right to move entries from one category to another, where they consider it appropriate and applicable.

  7] COPYRIGHT AND PERMISSIONS
  • The organiser of the contest will be allowed to use the winning and shortlisted photographs in the promotion of the contest and the event and other related promotion.
  • The sponsor for the award will have the right to use the photographs or any other data shared by the participant for one year and may engage the winning photographer for promotional activities in all media.
