Garbett Plateau Trek

A  Famous Trekking place south –west side of Matheran. At a distance of Total 17 km from Matheran and 8 km from Diksal, Garbett Plateau or Garbut Point is located near Matheran with grand view of the plateau below. The huge plateau gives a view to various waterfalls on the neighboring mountains. offering a 360 degree view of one of our alltime favorite hill stations. is Famous & splendid hill station in Maharashtra, it covers an area of 8 square kilometers in Sahyadris. This Fantastic spot was Discovered in 1850 by Hugh Poyntz Malet, the collector of Thane district.

Do's


 
  •   Carry clothes that will help you camouflage with the surroundings.
  •   Always carry original identity proof.
  •   Follow strict timings as given by your team leader to avoid delay in any activities and groupevents.
  •   Enjoy nature and surrounding area in the jungle while you in trek/expedition with your group.
  •   Always keep your phone on silent or airplane mode when entering trek/expedition.
  •   Also carry extra batteries, memory cards for camera
  •   Option to Carry Sunscreen (fragrance-free).
  •   Always remain in group
  •   Your guide/mentor/leader know the area inside the routes better than anyone, so do co-operate with     them.
  •   Always respect your local and their knowledge about the routes during the trek/expedition.

 

Don'ts


 
  •   Do not litter in forest and surrounding areas.
  •   Do not throw anything in the route.
  •   Do not wear brightly colored clothes or apply any kind of perfumes or deodorants.
  •   Never feed any animals.
  •   Do not play any loud music in vicinity of the trek/expedition area.
  •   Do not argue with any person like forest guards, guides, locals or even travellers from another group     during the trek/expedition.
